CMS’ proposal to pay for telehealth until it expires makes sense in the absence of congressional action, according to Brett Meeks, executive director of Health Innovation Alliance.
“I think there’s a little bit of cheekiness involved here as well, because it allows more pressure on Congress to pass this,” Meeks said. “Congress is feeling that pressure because telehealth services are so popular in a bipartisan way.”
