WASHINGTON, DC: Health IT Now and the Association for Behavioral Health and Wellness will hold a joint Congressional briefing on Monday, October 23rd at 2:30 PM entitled “Using Health IT to Combat the Opioid Crisis.”
Opioid misuse claims the lives of 91 Americans each day, while challenges in interoperability and incomplete patient data too often prevent doctors from recognizing the warning signs of opioid use disorder before it’s too late.
Health IT Now and the Association for Behavioral Health and Wellness will convene experts on the frontlines of fighting the opioid epidemic for a Congressional briefing on the tools needed to combat this crisis, including emerging technologies, and what Congress can do to help.
